Perfect movie for Family and Church Viewing!, Review by bbeaston
Rating Waterproof is by far the best of the Cloud Ten Pictures to date!
This movie is watched over and over again in my family. I never thought Burt Reynolds could pull this type of role off but he mastered his part along with the rest of the best! The whole crew meshed into perfection! I loved 'Sugar'... this movie is awesome!

I was so moved by this movie!, Review by Sandra Sims, Executive Producer, The Inspiration Networks
The message of Christ's redemption is so clear. Not like some "Christian" movies that water down the gospel! Also, how important the family unit is in a time trouble. The actors were all so real in their roles! (Posted on 1/7/10)

High-energy, riveting, Review by Tom Carder
Waterproof is a high-energy, sometimes riveting sometimes comic, reality-oriented believable story of the power of forgiveness with high-wattage performers holding your attention minute-by-minute. Reynolds reveals the depth of his talents. Even my 16-year son old likes it! (Posted on 1/7/10)

4 stars!, Review by Karen B
Rating 4 Stars! I was impressed not only by the actors and acting but the production as a whole. Very inspiring and uplifting. The tears were rolling at the end. I thought "Sugar" was wonderful. I truly enjoy Burt Reynolds but feel his performance was equaled by "Sugar." Way to go! Keep up the great vision. I truly enjoyed the fact that the message was clear and yet not "preachy". Wounded and slowly recovering, Eli initially struggles with his forced captivity, but soon finds an understanding in the power of forgiveness. He begins to break down racial barriers by fitting in with the African American family that has taken him in - especially with Grandpa Sugar, (Whitman Mayo) the charmingly wise family patriarch.
The irrepressible faith of Tyree's mother is the glue that ultimately holds the family together as she welcomes back her "prodigal daughter" with open arms. When Thaniel innocently looks at a portrait of Jesus and asks "Who's the white dude?" she realizes how desperately her daughter and grandson need her guidance to submit to Christ. The unplanned family reunion causes the entire family to confront their own deeply buried secret that eventually brings about an emotional and spiritual rebirth for all, with the help of Eli.
In a classic situation of "time heals all wounds", Tyree finds the courage to face her mother, relieve her older brother of his burden and experience the love her family and small town have to offer. And, Eli, through the southern hospitality of Tyree's family, begins to heal his wounded soul and reconsiders his own future.
Anyone who has ever struggled with faith will identify with this film. You'll want to stand up and cheer when a lost loved one comes home and overcomes internal struggles that help them make their way to the altar.
